Roots in Maheswar Pur

My story begins in the village of Maheswar Pur, nestled within the Khallikote region of Ganjam, Odisha. I am the son of Banambar Parimanik, a name that carries the weight of my heritage. Growing up in a large, bustling household with three brothers and one sister, I learned early on the values of sharing, resilience, and the importance of family bonds. Our home was a place where the traditions of Odisha were woven into our daily lives, providing the foundation for everything I would eventually become.

A Life in Kodala

While Maheswar Pur is my soul’s home, much of my life’s chapters have been written in Kodala Block. It is here that I have spent the majority of my years, navigating the streets, building relationships, and witnessing the changing seasons of our community. Kodala is more than just a place of work for me; it is the backdrop of my adulthood, the place where my professional identity took shape, and where I have become a familiar face to many.

The Dual Identity: Artist and Agent

My life is defined by a unique balance between two seemingly opposite worlds:

• The Artist: Inside me lives a creator. Art is how I interpret the beauty of Odisha—the vibrant colors of our festivals, the expressions of our people, and the quiet landscapes of Ganjam. Whether it is a brush in hand or a pencil on paper, being an artist allows me to speak a language beyond words. It is my passion and my way of leaving a mark on the world that is purely my own.
• The LIC Agent: To complement the dreamer, there is the protector. As an LIC agent, my mission is one of security and trust. I spend my days helping families in my community plan for their futures and safeguard their dreams. This profession has taught me the value of human connection and the responsibility of being a pillar of support for others during their most uncertain times.

The Path Forward

Living as both an artist and an LIC agent means I see the world through two lenses: one that appreciates the beauty of the present moment, and one that carefully prepares for the future. My journey from a son of Maheswar Pur to a well-known figure in Kodala has been one of growth, hard work, and a deep love for my roots.
